Prestonwood Christian boys hoops coach Chris Mayberry resigns

Prestonwood Christian Academy boys basketball head coach Chris Mayberry is heading back to his old stomping grounds.
Not even one month removed from coaching the Lions to their second consecutive TAPPS 5A State Championship, Mayberry announced his resignation from his post and has accepted a job as middle school principal and head coach at The First Academy, based in Orlando (Fla.).
Mayberry coached at Prestonwood for two seasons, posting an overall record of 42-22 including a 27-4 ledger during the team's 2011-12 campaign. He'll return to his previous coaching post in Orlando, where he spent nine years as head coach at The First Academy.
