Coppell Girl Scout Cadette Troop 3544 (all CMSW 6th graders) and Girl Scout Ambassador Troop 574 (all CHS Juniors) recently hosted Cupid's Workshops for Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts, respectively.

The hosting troops worked together for the opening and closing, and operated separate stations of crafts, snacks and activities for the two different groups.  More than 50 girls, ranging in age from 8 to 17, participated in the event, which was held at First United Methodist Church in Coppell.

The girls pictured below are in a “Friendship Circle,” which illustrates an unbroken chain of friendship with Girl Scouts and Girl Guides around the world.

Coordinating events like this one provides leadership opportunities for older girls as they learn teamwork, planning, budgeting, implementation and communication skills, and younger girls have the opportunity to engage with these “older girl” role models.  The Girl Scout Mission is:  Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
