Gordon "Sonny" Lawrence Seelhorst
Gordon "Sonny" Lawrence Seelhorst, 66, of Plano, Texas, passed away February 17, 2013, in Plano.
Sonny was born August 22, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Gordon Elmer and Evelyn (Engel) Seelhorst.
He married Connie Kampas on November 20, 1982, in Dallas, Texas.
Sonny was always the life of the party. He loved his family and his friends. Sonny never missed one of Courtney's games. He also loved cars, particularly Corvettes. Sonny was always on the go; he loved traveling, especially to Las Vegas. He proudly served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Seelhorst of Plano, Texas; daughters, Courtney Seelhorst of Waco, Texas, and Cheryl (Seelhorst) McClain and husband, Richard, of Lake Dallas, Texas; grandsons, Justin McClain and Maranda Harris, of Lewisville, Texas, and Preston McClain of Lake Dallas, Texas; and great-granddaughters, Hannah and Londyn McClain, also of Lewisville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Evelyn Seelhorst and brother, Ron Seelhorst.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Custer Road United Methodist Church, 6601 Custer Road, Plano, Texas, 75023.
