The suspect in a Jan. 21 robbery of a Plano business has been arrested by Lewisville police after a standoff at an IHOP restaurant near Vista Ridge Mall.
David Lee Horton Jr., 33, was arrested early Tuesday morning after barricading himself inside a bathroom at the restaurant, Lewisville Police Capt. Kevin Deaver said. Police were called to the restaurant after an employee heard Horton and a female talking about stealing a vehicle. When police arrived, he entered the bathroom and told officers he had a firearm, Deaver said in an email. He surrendered to police about four hours later.
Horton was wanted for an aggravated robbery in the 3300 block of Dallas Parkway. During the incident, he allegedly brandished a handgun, restrained all individuals inside the business and left with cash and electronics.
Lewisville police said he was also wanted out of Dallas County on a vehicle burglary warrant.
