Rowlett boys basketball team plays in the 55th Annual Whataburger Tournament

The 14-0 Rowlett Eagles boys varsity basketball team will take on the 11-2 Martin Warriors of Arlington at the Orange Bracket of the 55th Annual Whataburger Tournament at the Birdville W.G. Thomas Coliseum. It is located at 6108 Broadway Avenue Haltom City, Texas. The tournament will begin on Thursday Dec. 27, 2012 at 2:30 p.m.
Martin is coming off a win of the Weatherford Kangaroos 70-39 Friday, as the Rowlett Eagles who are undefeated on the season beat the Sache Mustangs 58-48 also on Friday night.
The Eagles are led in scoring by #30, 6’6 Sr. Jeffrey Carroll who is averaging 22.6 points a game at the power forward position. He has been a starter sense his Sophomore season for the Eagles.
If there is a weakness in the Eagles game it comes from the charity stripe. The Eagles are only averaging 64% from the free throw line.
However, the Eagles are ranked 11th in the state of Texas, as well as ranked 48th in the country. The Eagles are coached by Stan Blackmon.
