Centennial senior quarterback Lamar Jordan
The Titans got all they bargained for during Friday’s bi-district matchup against West Mesquite.
Luckily for Centennial, senior quarterback Lamar Jordan gave the Wranglers all they could handle and more. Jordan completed 11-of-20 pass attempts for 114 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. For good measure, the senior signal caller also tallied 61 yards and a score on 15 carries.
Jordan’s performance allowed the Titans to come away with a 33-25 victory after falling behind early in the fourth quarter.
Trailing 25-19 with less than 10 minutes remaining, Jordan connected with junior receiver Stoney Hawkins on a 10-yard touchdown strike to recapture the lead before adding an insurance touchdown moments later on a 15-yard keeper.
The victory puts Centennial into a 2p.m. Friday matchup against Dallas Kimball from Loos Sports Complex in Addison.
