Detectives from the Plano Police Department are investigating a potential homicide in the 3100 block of Royal Oaks Drive in east Plano.
Police responded to the house at about 8 p.m. Sunday after receiving a 911 call from the homeowner.
"A woman who lived at the residence returned home around 8 p.m. after being out of town for the weekend," said Officer David Tilley, Plano PD spokesman. "She went into the house and was immediately concerned by something inside the house. She then went outside and called 911."
Tilley said officers immediately expected foul play and noted that Tanner's injuries were not consistent with suicide or natural causes. The Collin County Medical Examiner has yet to rule on the cause or time of death, Tilley said.
"We don't have any valid suspects or a motive at this time," Tilley said. "We are interviewing some people who knew the victim to try and get some background information and hopefully determine a motive, but they are not considered suspects."
Police said Tanner's truck is missing and may be connected to the case. The truck is described as a red 2006 four-door Chevrolet with license plate number AK99367.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Plano PD tip line at 972-941-2148.
