Quick look: The final week of the 11-5A season could have gotten quite complicated, but it turned out to be simple.
Sache took care of business against Naaman Forest, opening a big first-half lead and the cruising to a 56-21 victory.
With that outcome settled early, that left Rowlett and Lakeview to determine the fourth and final spot in the postseason.
The teams went back and forth, but the Eagles were able to prevail with a 36-29 victory to make the playoffs for the eighth straight year.
The Division I portion of the playoff bracket will feature Garland, the 11-5A champion, is the top seed and will face Horn on Saturday at noon at Allen's Eagle Stadium. The Jaguars crushed the Owls, 42-0, earlier in the season, but Garland is on a six-game winning streak.
Sachse earned the second seed in Division I and will take on undefeated Mesquite on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Wildcat-Ram Stadium.
In Division II, South Garland is the top seed and they will face Rockwall-Heath on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at E. H. Hanby Stadium. The Hawks toppled the Colonels, 31-21, in non-district play earlier this year.
Rowlett draw the second see in Division II and will battle Longview on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Kincaide Stadium in Dallas.
