Horn is going to have plenty of victories this season, but few will be any easier than the one they earned on Tuesday against Ferris.
The Jaguars opened the game on a 23-2 run and never looked back en route to a 71-5 victory to move to 4-2 on the season.
Horn shut out Ferris in both the second and fourth quarters and spread the wealth around offensively.
Jada Underwood led the way with 14 points, while Kristina Smith and Lauren Bradshaw added 13 and 10 points, respectively.
The Jaguars had posted a 2-2 record over the weekend at the Frisco ISD Tournament.
Smith scored 11 points to lead them to a 42-34 victory over Lovejoy. Underwood had 13 points and Bradshaw scored 11 to lead them to a 51-37 win against Richardson.
Horn also dropped games against Plano Prestonwood (47-37) and Plano East (57-49).
The Jaguars will return to action on Friday with a road game against Wylie East before returning home to host West Mesquite in the final game before the Thanksgiving holiday.
North Mesquite has gotten off to a rough start to the season but was smiling on Tuesday after posting a 53-43 victory over South Garland.
The Stallions started strong with a 13-5 run and extended the advantage to 32-15 by halftime. The Colonels made a late surge, but it was not enough.
Makqhuisha Carruth led the way for North Mesquite with a game-high 21 points.
North Mesquite (1-4) had dropped all three game it played at the Grand Prairie Classic, but it was competitive, losing games against Irving (34-27), Triple A Academy (41-35) and Fort Worth Christian (53-52).
The Stallions will try to follow up on that victory on Friday when they meet Cleburne.
Mesquite dropped to 1-2 on the young season with a 59-48 loss to Rowlett on Tuesday.
The Skeeters trailed from the start, but held the Eagles to five points in the third quarter, to stay close at 39-35. But Rowlett took control from there, closing the game on a 20-13 run to pull away.
Briana Caro had a big game for the Skeeters with 21 points, while Viershanie Latham and Brianna Williams each chipped in with seven.
Mesquite has a busy week before the Thanksgiving holiday. They are scheduled to compete in the Lady Jaguar Tournament on Thursday through Saturday, play on the road at Ursuline on Monday and then host Lake Highlands on Tuesday.
