United Way of Denton County and Little Elm ISD are partnering for the second consecutive year to provide tax preparation help to low and moderate-income families and individuals through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

The program offers free tax preparation and e-filing services from volunteers certified and trained by the IRS to people making $50,000 or less annually. The program begins January 28th and will offer assistance Mondays at Hackberry Elementary and Thursdays at Oak Point Elementary through April. Public orientation sessions will take place December 6th and 11th.

Those interested in volunteering can contact Traci Williamson at traci@unitedwaydenton.org or visit www.unitedwaydenton.org.
