The internationally acclaimed U.S. Naval Academy Gospel Choir will provide two public concerts in the Dallas, TX metro area in November as part of their Veteran's Day weekend performing tour to the Lone Star State.
These concerts, A Salute to America's Heroes, are free, open to the public with no tickets required. The first concert will be held on Saturday evening, November 10, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the University Park United Methodist Church, located at 4024 Caruth Blvd, Dallas, TX 75225.
On Veteran's Day evening, Sunday, November 11, 2012, the Gospel Choir will appear in concert at 7:00 p.m. at the Stonebridge United Methodist Church, located at 1800 South Stonebridge Drive, McKinney, TX 75070. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for both performances.
Ms. Karla Scott states: "We are looking forward to bringing this premier ensemble back to the metroplex and to give the gift of music and praise to our friends in Texas. When we sing, we honor, through our music those who have served our nation. All of our midshipmen will be serving our country as officers in the Navy and Marine Corps upon graduation and commissioning from the Naval Academy."
The Gospel Choir will also provide some of the music for the two worship services at the First Baptist Church in downtown Dallas on Sunday, November 11, 2012.
