Republican national committeewoman to address Denton County Republicans

Republican National Committeewoman Borah Van Dormolen will be the keynote speaker at the Thursday monthly meeting of the Denton County Republican Party. She is one of three people elected by delegates to the GOP State convention to represent Texas on the 168 member Republican National Committee. Borah is expected to address how Republicans can maximize their efforts in the final days before the November elections.
The DCRP meeting will be at 7 p.m., in the second floor community room of Medical Center of Lewisville, 500 West Main St.
Immediately prior to the meeting at 6 p.m., there will be a social hour for meeting attendees hosted by State Representative Myra Crownover. Both the social hour and the meeting are open to all interested Republicans.

Borah was first elected Texas National Committeewoman in 2009. She also holds a gubernatorial appointment to the Texas State Cemetery Committee, and serves on the Executive Committee of Maggie's List, a Political Action Committee dedicated to recruiting, training and electing women at the federal level.
She has served the Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW), the second largest Federation in the country, as President 2006 - 2007. Borah has applied her considerable leadership and teaching skills to campaign management seminars for the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) and TFRW. During the 77th Texas Legislature session, she served as Chief of Staff for State Representative Kent Grusendorf, (R-Dist. 94). Borah contributes significant amounts of her time and talent to the Republican Party of Texas with fundraising and grassroots organization.
She was the recent recipient of the Steel Magnolia Award from the National Republican Women's Network.
Borah has been married to her husband, 5th generation Texan Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Rich Castle, for 25 years. They live in Salado.
