Stephen Broden to address Denton GOP Women

Well-known conservative activist Pastor Stephen Broden will be the featured speaker at the Denton Republican Women's Club Wednesday, according to Lee Ann Breading, program chairman for the group. The meeting will begin at noon at El Guapo's Restaurant in downtown Denton, with lunch at 11:30. All interested Republicans are invited to attend. Reservations are requested and can be made with hospitality chairman Jean Carter at 817-296-5270.
Broden's latest project is founding the Constitutional Defenders of Texas. Their mission is to uphold and protect the integrity of the Constitution of the United States and to actively hold their elected representatives accountable.
Broden, a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a Masters of Arts in Bible Studies, and a Bachelor's degree and Masters of Arts in Communication from the University of Michigan, is senior pastor of the Fair Park Bible Fellowship. He is the President of the Fair Park Friendship Center, a community-centered gathering place for groups such as the Boy Scouts and the Girls' Club and a community resource center offering hands-on assistance to surrounding area families. He also served as an adjunct professor at Dallas Baptist University from 1990-1992.
Broden's Republican roots go back to his service as a Precinct Chairman in DeSoto from 1999-2002. He also was awarded the "Champion of the Republican Party" award by the NRCC Business Advisory Council. Broden has been actively involved in the pro-life movement since 1983 and is the chief spokesperson for the black pro-life movement in Dallas. In 2011, he was the recipient of the Pro-Life Recognition award from the National Pro-Life Religious Council for continuous leadership in the cause of life. He is also a founding member of The National Black Pro-life Coalition.
Broden and his wife, Donna, have three adult children.
