Richard Lee Hill

Richard Lee Hill passed away suddenly in the early morning of September 5, 2012 at Plano Presbyterian Hospital. His heart stopped due to an infection from his kidneys.

He was born November 12, 1940 in Colorado Springs, CO - he was 71.

Loved father of Holly (Robert) Looman of Edmond, OK, Katrina (David) Clemons of Copperas Cove, TX, Gavin (Antoinette) Hill of Mesa, AZ & Kyle (Kimberly) Hill of Edmond, OK. Devoted grandfather of Kelsey (Ward), Zonly, Nolan & Rory Looman, Trevor & Baylee Clemons, Cyrus & Ariel Hill and Austin & Madison Beck-Hill. Very proud great-grandfather to Aurora Ward.

Preceded in death by parents George & Marguerite Hill of McCoy, CO.

Survived by two sisters, Georgia (Ralph) Parker of Golden, CO and Kay "Kelley" (Jim) Pacheco of Aurora, CO. Beloved friend of Gerald & Kaleen Wineinger and Stephen (Lee) Kaplan.

He was a lifetime member of the Elks. He was a US Naval veteran. He was a brilliant man who was a voracious reader - he loved books and ever expanding his knowledge.

He worked his entire life in the technology field and was proud to have played an integral role in the worldwide development of the USB structure.

He never failed to know the answer to anyone's questions, and if he didn't know immediately he would after thoroughly researching the topic. He will be deeply missed by all that had the true opportunity to gain his friendship.

A memorial service will be held at the Elks Lodge in Richardson, Texas at 2 p.m. Saturday September 8, 2012.
